A Cherokee elder was sitting with his two sons teaching them about life. The elder looked intently into the boys’ eyes and said, “A terrible fight is going on inside me. It’s a fight between two wolves. One is the wolf of joy, hope, kindness, love and compassion. The other is the wolf of greed, fear, anger and cynicism.”
His gaze intensified, “The same battle is going on inside of each of you, as it does with all others on this earth.”
The children thought about their father’s comments. Then the oldest son asked, “Which wolf will win?”
The elder replied, “The one you feed.”
